Design trends: geometric patterns

In a previous post we saw the beautiful examples of vintage swedish covers with their simple and bold geometric forms. This time is going to be about the contemporary geometric trend, as it has become more and more popular in the design world.

There are a lot of possibilities for applications of this particular style, and we can see that it has become a big hit within the logotypes world. The beauty of it is the endless combinations and the overall simplicity of the designs, as they evoke primary geometric shapes. The use of colour is fundamental here, for it can provide a distinct style for any particular design, although a perfectly constructed outlined figure can also be just as outstanding as a coloured one.
