The Nokia Morph Concept Phone: Would you buy one?

Design & Style Gadgets

Can you imagine one day owning a cell phone that is so flexible that it can be worn around your wrist like a bracelet? Can you imagine taking that very same cell phone off your wrist and transforming it into a fully functional keyboard? How about an incredible cell phone that can clean itself? Or, even a cell phone so powerful that it can detect the world around you?

Nokia, one of the leading telecommunications companies, says that it can. Over the past few years, Nokia has been working with the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre to develop a concept cell phone that uses nanotechnologies. What they call "The Morph" could transform the cell phone industry and open up a whole world of new and exciting possibilities to us all.

The Morph could be the next generation of mobile technology. It is a flexible and transparent cell phone with a touch pad and keyboard. The Morph will be able to bend, stretch and change its shape depending on your needs. You could wear it on your wrist, turn it into a regular, thin cell phone or even use it as a keyboard.

The Morph will be a self-cleaning device. Its surface will repel water and dirt thus helping to keep the cell phone clean and last longer. The Morph will also be able to recharge its battery using solar energy.

Perhaps, most remarkable of all will be The Morph’s ability to sense its surrounding and inspect the environment around us. The Morph will not only be able to tell you your body temperature but it will also be able to test the quality of the air around you and even tell you if that apple that you are about to eat needs to be washed.

Although The Morph is not yet available on the market, it demonstrates what may be possible in the coming years by combining advancements in nanotechnologies with mobile technology.

I love this cell phone concept by Nokia. I think that it is absolutely amazing and I am really excited to see what they are able to do with this in the next few years. So long as it turns out to be as good as it seems to be on paper, I would most definitely buy one.

What do you think? Do you really believe that it will be possible? Would you buy one?
